Hi, my name is Caitlin and I'm an illustrator, designer, and the author/creator of The Illuminated Tarot and The Happy Houseplant series, both published by Clarkson Potter. I've worked on book cover and interior illustrations for Penguin Random House, Chronicle Books, Quirk Books, Abrams, and DK among others.
I love to work on all kinds of illustrated book covers and interiors but you can get a sense of my interests and style by looking through my portfolio.
My fees are flexible, depending on the scale of the project, complexity of artwork, and the number of rounds and revisions needed to find a design that you're really excited about.
A few tips for requesting an illustration quote:

2) Seeing an example from my portfolio in your project inspiration section tells me that you have a clear idea of the illustration style I work in, and that I'm likely a good fit for your project. General images that you find inspiring and relevant (like other book covers, artwork, or reference photos) are also helpful to see.
3) I find AI-generated images limiting and prefer not to receive those for inspiration or reference. A human artist will always do better, more original work and they're much easier to communicate with!

Prior to freelancing, I worked full time for Sesame Workshop and for Nickelodeon Magazine. I have provided art direction and design for publishing, product licensing, and marketing projects.
