Overview
I'm a creative collaborator and a good listener. During my career as an editor and publisher for Penguin and HarperCollins in New York and London, I acquired, developed, and published more than 50 titles, including 3 NYT Bestsellers. I'm fast and reliable, and I love providing whatever is needed--from concept development to final polishing--in order for authors to realize their project's vision and their personal potential.Testimonials:"I have often heard authors effuse about the brilliance of their editors, but I must admit that I never quite understood what all the fuss was about. Now I know. Brian was chosen as my editor at ReganBooks, and I couldn't have wished for one better. This book would not have been the same without his patience, ideas, observations, and enthusiasm. His dedication and talent show through on each page. I am fortunate to have worked with him and even more fortunate to call him a friend." - from the Acknowledgments of Where the Birds Never Sing by Jack Sacco (HarperCollins, 2003)"Thank you, Brian for seeing the manuscript through with your fine editing skills." - from the Acknowledgments of P3: Pipes, Parks, and Powder by Todd Richards with Eric Blehm (HarperCollins, 2003)"[Thank you to] Brian at DK Publishing for his excellent efforts in editing pieces and patches of information into coherent form." - from the Acknowlegments of Conan: The Ultimate Guide to the World's Most Savage Barbarian by Roy Thomas (DK Publishing, 2006)"All I can say is three cheers for Brian I got more valuable, actionable feedback from him in a weekend than in two years of MFA and three writers conferences. He's super insightful, frank, and brilliant at explaining. He really delivered on what I hoped to get: having my negative tics identified so I can go over the rest of my MS and take them out." - Colin Garrison, The Shores of Mercy, 2019
