Overview

With more than 100 books to my credit, my published works range from picture books to middle-grade chapter books, joke books, and I even created my own graphic novel series. I pride myself on being a versatile writer, able to adapt my style to different age levels and audiences, depending on a client's needs.


Several of my titles have been licensed through DC Comics, Sports Illustrated Kids, and National Geographic Kids as well as favorably reviewed in Booklist, School Library Journal, Kirkus Reviews, and Publishers Weekly.


HIGHLIGHTS:

—Master of fine arts degree in creative writing with an emphasis in poetry—I have published several children's poems and songs.

—Well-versed in writing graphic novel and comic book scripts, and once managed a graphic novel imprint for a children's book publisher.

—Content writer and researcher dedicated to uncovering facts—I have written about various topics, such as history, biographies, science, technology, sports, and mythology.

—Fiction writer familiar with science-fiction, fantasy, realistic fiction, and horror genres, but humor always finds a way into my stories.

—Outdoors enthusiast, who likes to camp, hike, mountain bike, trail run, and I have a couple of rescue dogs, etc . . . and am always interested in writing about environmental topics.
