Overview
My career has been diverse. From legal assistant to newspaper reporter and copyeditor; to managing editor for a history-book publisher; to self-publishing two anthologies; to semi-retirement, freelance editing, and global citizenship, I have acquired a wealth of knowledge and insights.
Serving for nine years as editorial manager for the history book publisher. I helped shepherd more than 75 books through the publishing process, from conception and editing to design, layout, and printing.
The majority of my editorial work has been in nonfiction, and I have most recently copyedited a crime novel, a memoir, and a nonfiction book on biological agriculture. I have also copyedited and proofread academic papers, articles, website and blog content, reports of nonprofit organizations, and material from non-native English speakers. My passion is for fiction, and I am an avid reader.
I hope you let me help you make your writing, whatever the project, the best it can be!

After several years as a reporter-editor and an editorial manager, I started my own editorial company, Word Metro. Here I have compiled, edited and published two anthologies as well as helped several authors edit and publish their own books. Additionally, I have copy edited all types of written material including website content, academic and journal articles, dissertations, book proposals and books. I love helping to make any piece of writing the best it can possibly be.
