My desire is to ensure that your manuscript is clear and accurate. I want your voice heard and understood; I believe editing should be collaborative so expect lots of questions along with suggestions for improvement. I have experience with Adobe InCopy, Microsoft Word, and PDF markups. My copy of the Chicago Manual of Style is well-loved.

Currently, I copyedit secondary history textbooks. I strive for accuracy and clarity in content read by both students and teachers. Completed projects include student and teacher editions of United States History (11th grade, 640 pages) and American Government (12th grade, 460 pages) and World History Student Activities/Answer Key (10th grade). Nearing completion are the student and teacher editions for 8th grade American history.

As a project coordinator for an education publisher, I led teams from initial planning until books went to the printer. Each project had multiple books, and I would handle several projects at once. I worked with a variety of subject teams but primarily handled secondary English and electives. "Herding cats" accurately describes the job. From 2011 until 2016, I was the coordinator for the digital textbook development team. Occasionally, I would assist with production proofreading.
