Audrey Linton

Audrey Linton – Editor

Editor with 4+ years of working in publishing, focusing on commercial fiction - I work across all genres, but I particularly love thrillers!

Overview

I collaborate with writers to help make their manuscript the best it can be. I’ve worked with many bestselling Amazon authors in both the UK and US across genres, and know how to get the best out of each story.

With tailored structural notes which focus on the big picture plot and a line-edit which nails down the nitty gritty, low level edits, I can help your writing shine.

I have lots of experience reading submissions and providing feedback - I know what agents and publishers are looking for, so I can also read and review query letters, ensuring you’re putting your best foot forward when it comes to querying and submitting.

Work experience

Hachette

May, 2024 — Present
I collaboratively work with authors from acquisition to publication. I work alongside authors on structural and line edits to make sure the manuscript is as strong and compelling as it can be, and I lead the publishing strategy, from brainstorming cover direction, titles and the blurb to make sure readers who we know will love their book will find it!

HarperCollins

Sep, 2020 — May, 2024 (over 3 years)
I started off as an assistant at HarperCollins, and made my way up to Editor level. I worked with authors on their manuscripts and the production team to ensure that each book is printed on time. I read submissions and provided feedback to authors and agents directly. As Editor, I started building and acquiring my own list of authors.
