MY EXPERIENCE IN THE INDUSTRY

I've spent the last fourteen years working full-time in major publishing houses - Penguin Random House, Hachette, HarperCollins and Macmillan - in both the UK and Australia.

For the past nine years I've worked in Editorial, most recently as Publisher at Hodder and Stoughton, where I have been acquiring and publishing general commercial fiction. Prior to that I was in the Marketing team, creating unmissable campaigns for new books. My experience means I understand exactly what publishers are looking to acquire and what readers are looking to buy so I can tell you what you need to do to make your book a success.
