Ashley is a certified #booknerdigan who loves anything sci-fi, fantasy, or dystopic. She believes the best books are those that cause change in the reader. She works as an independent contractor, editing fiction books inside the traditional and indie publishing world. She thanks authors like you who support small businesses like her own.

Ashley's praised for being "insightful, responsive" and ""Straight-forward without being snarky." Authors have said, "My book will be stronger as a result" and "...what you have shown me will continue to contribute to everything I write in the future."

Ashley infuses constructive critiques with coaching methods, which will benefit authors in the long run. After working with Ashley, writers will apply the knowledge they gained working with her to future projects and continue to grow in their writing.

Awkward hugger and introvert, Ashley enjoys meeting new authors on social media where she can write "lol" instead of snort-laughing in person.

Hi Linda,
I'm sorry you were unhappy with the leftover typos. Please understand that a Copy Edit emphasizes more of the grammar, fact checking, and flow issues. We do look for spelling and punctuation errors, but the Proofread is meant to catch the leftovers that always exist in the text. In a traditional publishing house, we do 2 more rounds to look for spelling and punctuation after a copy edit. This gives the book fresh eyes to catch things Editor 1 or 2 may have missed. The less amount of errors, the more thorough the edit. So, by round 2 or 3, the last few typos can be spotted because they aren't buried by other errors (grammar or otherwise) which Editor 1 and 2 have corrected. I apologize if that was unclear.

Best of luck to you and your book.

Ashley

I LOVED working with Ashley. She really dedicated her time to a piece of my novel that was really driving me nuts (does it make sense, are the words flowing, how are the relationships between characters?). She gave me more than enough notes on what I should change, and even highlighted the things that she liked. I plan to work with her again in the future.

I have only top ratings for her and hope the future will give me the chance to collaborate with her again. Thank you Ashley for everything!
