Overview
I'm a native German speaker with a degree in History and American Studies (i.e. culture and literature of the US), but more importantly, I've lived in the UK for 17+ years and worked here as a researcher, journalist, magazine editor and proofreader, so meticulous work to tight deadlines is second nature to me. As a published author myself (trad, small press and now indie with 40+ released titles), I love and cherish the opportunities and vibrancy of the indie publishing scene.
Genres I focus on include romance, fantasy, SF, and thriller; I'm happy to work on steamy and kinky material, and LGBTQ+ books and material is very welcome indeed, though shifter/mpreg is not for me ("traditional" non-A/B/O werewolves and werecreatures are fine, of course). I'm probably not the best translator for literary fiction, non-fiction or autobiographies.
I work with my own experienced, reliable and qualified proofreaders/editors so I'll deliver a publishing-ready manuscript to your deadline.
Over the past few years, translating has been a side gig for me, but I'm planning to go full-time from October 2024.

Since October 2017, I've been providing freelance translating and proofreading services for a number of clients, and since mid-2020 I've increasingly focused on (genre) fiction, especially romance, but I've also translated some erotica under a different pseudonym.
