I have a soft spot for memoir or self-help/memoir hybrids; I even have an MFA in creative nonfiction specifically. I like to read about spiritual awakenings, sex and relationships, psychedelic drugs, redemption arcs, trauma (without traumatizing the reader), activism, and other stuff.

I freelanced with Scribe for nearly three years, until it changed ownership. I have been a ghostwriter, structural editor, line editor/copyeditor, and proofreader, but I specialize in copyediting.

I charge $0.02 per word for copyediting services, and I can have the edited manuscript returned to you in two to four weeks, depending on the length of your book and on how many other freelance assignments I'm juggling.

Please note: I have a full-time job on top of providing these freelance copyediting services, so depending on when your editing request or messages come in, it may take me up to 48 hours for me to respond.

Before Publishing: Copyediting is the penultimate step in editing. The next step is proofreading. During the copyediting process, it's easy for an author to get inspired to alter a few sentences or details, and errors can be missed. While many authors have chosen to move forward with publishing after receiving copyediting services from me, my professional recommendation is to have your book proofread after receiving your copyedited manuscript from me and before publication.
