Amy Pattullo

Amy Pattullo – Editor

With many years' experience in academic publishing, I feel the importance of helping good scholarship speak energetically and relevantly.

Overview

A light touch or a strong hand? I am a sensitive and sympathetic reader happy to offer either, with the discernment to tell what a manuscript, and an author, are calling for. I know my way around academia and academic publishing, bringing many years' experience as a copy editor, in-house for the University of Michigan Press and freelance for a variety of other academic publishers, including the University of Nebraska Press, Wayne State University Press, the Jewish Publication Society, and Indiana University Press. My own educational background is in philosophy, in which I am a.b.d. from the University of Chicago. I have reading knowledge of French and German.

My specialties include Jewish studies, philosophy, history, and literature. I developed and co-wrote Words and Actions, the selected letters and journals of Congressman Dick VanderVeen.
