Having worked in publishing for almost a decade, first in the editorial department of a trade publisher and more recently as a literary agent, I know the importance of making a book stand out in an ever-growing and crowded marketplace.

My experience has encompassed a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction titles across a range of genres, from literary and commercial fiction, crime and romance to autobiographies and cookbooks. Having worked with many authors – including winners of the Pulitzer, Booker and the Women’s Prizes – at every stage of the writing process and of their careers, I appreciate how daunting the task can be – and how receiving feedback on your manuscript can be even more so. I also understand the importance of constructive feedback and the difference it can make in the initial stages of the submission and publishing process.
