Overview
Did you ever watch a movie or read a book and feel like something was missing? Something was not quite right, but you couldn’t say why?
I can tell you why. And when it comes to your book? I can help you fix it.
I’m a developmental editor who cares deeply about women’s stories and those who write them. I will handle your book with the care it deserves, giving you thoughtful feedback and actionable steps. I specialize in strong character arcs, solid story structure, and emotional resonance. I’ll help you clarify what you want to say and ensure your readers feel it. My feedback is always honest, kind, and most of all, helpful.
I come from a teaching background, so I never suggest a change without explaining why, and I edit with an aim toward your growth as a writer. We’re going to improve this manuscript, and also improve all your books going forward.
Writers who work with me often feel like they’ve leveled up after our collaboration. One author recently said, “I truly felt she had my best interest at heart and that I left my experience with her as a better writer.” Another said, “Her approach as an editor is a masterclass in thoughtful balance: kindness and encouragement without pulling any punches. Our work gave me more confidence in my craft, more trust in myself, and a final draft that absolutely shines.”
That’s the heart of what I do. I preserve your voice, your message, and your style, while helping your story find its strongest form. I’m not here to rewrite your book. I’m here to make sure your version of the story comes through clearly and powerfully.
My process is collaborative and transparent. After a detailed editorial letter and in-manuscript comments, we’ll talk through your next steps. I’ll answer your questions, brainstorm solutions, and make sure you feel confident about revisions. You’ll never be left wondering, “Okay, but what now?”
When you hire me, you’re not just getting an editor. You’re gaining a creative partner who believes in your story as much as you do. I’ll celebrate your breakthroughs, commiserate over tricky scenes, and remind you why you started writing this book in the first place. If you’re ready to bring your story to life, I’d love to be part of your journey.
