I’m a freelance editor with over ten years’ experience under the pen name RJ Locksley. My clients have hit the New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists. Novels I’ve edited have been optioned for TV and film and nominated for the RITA Award. Collectively, my clients have sold millions of copies.

Most of my clients are romance writers, but I also edit YA and adult fantasy, science fiction, thrillers and horror. I'm especially interested in female-centric and/or queer-centric stories. My developmental editing makes high-impact improvements to big-picture elements such as plot, character and pacing. My copy-editing homes in on the details. And my proofreading adds the final sparkle.
