Wes Rowell – Designer

For over 20 years, I have provided editorial illustrations for a wide variety of publications serving a number industries, including oil & gas, dentistry, college sports, tech, energy, education, home & outdoor and health & wellness. Since 2021 I have created editorial cartoons for a newspaper. This necessitated creating a new illustrative style to accommodate lower quality print capabilities, thus two styles - on color and one B/W - and I'm equally comfortable using either style. It also means I try to stay knowledgeable about current events.As an artist, I am influenced by Caravaggio, Michael Schwab, and Gary Larson. As a result of my wide range of experiences, I have developed a love of learning new things through my interactions with writers/editors and their visions to shape, inform, and entertain the world around them. I enjoy collaborating with clients and bringing their messages to life.
