Overview
Lauren is an illustrator living amongst the folklore and trees of Appalachia. She creates art based on ritual, folklore, and the aspects that call (loudly) to her. Lauren’s work focuses on legends and myths. Her illustrations amplify and enhance the stories through layered symbolism, delicate line art, and washes of color to create a moody and atmospheric image specific to each individual story. She favors the traditional mediums of pencil, watercolor, and ink for her current work.
