Tom Huddleston

Tom Huddleston – Editor

Published author, editor and journalist with years of experience and an eye for detail. Franchise and pop culture writing a speciality.

Overview

I'm a published author, editor and freelance journalist. I've written SFF fiction for two major franchises - STAR WARS and WARHAMMER - alongside original works including the acclaimed FLOODWORLD trilogy. My latest book is THE WORLDS OF DUNE, an in-depth exploration of the diverse inspirations behind Frank Herbert's classic novel.

I spent 9 years as Assistant UK Film Editor at Time Out magazine, which entailed extensive editing and proofreading as well as writing reviews, features and online content. I also have a Masters degree in Screenwriting with a specialisation in Script Editing.

I have an in-depth understanding of how to tell a story, from mapping out plots and character arcs to polishing the final manuscript. I'm a considerate and sympathetic editor - after all, I've been there myself. From fantasy fiction and sci-fi to books or articles on film, literature, music and TV, I'm here to help make your work as good as it can be.

Tom was very thorough in his review of my work. There was plenty of work to be done, but I'm not here to have my work sugar-coated. Tom came in, read my work and told me what I needed to know so that I could improve upon it. (A second pair of eyes always helps.) Tom was also vocal about things he like in the work. This addition helps to separate the fatigue of having your scrutinized. Will be...
