I'm an editor and proofreader with more than a decade of experience in the publishing industry. I first worked in-house for Taylor & Francis before moving to Oxford University Press; I've been a freelance editor specialising in sci-fi, fantasy, thriller, horror, romance and LGBTQ fiction since 2013.

My publisher clients include Black Library, Skyhorse Publishing, New Terrain Press and Vulpine Press; among independent authors I've worked with recently are Juliet E. McKenna (The Green Man's Heir) and Rob J. Hayes (Where Loyalties Lie – winner of Mark Lawrence's SPFBO 2018 – and The Fifth Empire of Man).

Reading is one of life's greatest pleasures, and I love being a part of the creation of new and exciting stories. I am always happy to chat with you about what you need and how I can help.

So Daniel Mackmain keeps his head down and keeps himself to himself. But now a girl... read more
