Tim Lindner – Editor

I spent eight years at Wiley publishing, working primarily on Engineering, Physics, and Computer Science textbook. While there, I earned my MFA in Creative Writing and served as the Poetry Editor of Serving House Books for a year and a half. Since then, I have opened my own Writing and Editing service and teach English Composition at Middlesex County CollegeWith authors I work upstream establishing the concrete goals of their book, and revising that until it's clear. I intend to take a first crack at the manuscript, creating a reverse outline and character maps with the details I feel are most important to the story, what may not make sense, and what sort of ordering, reauthoring, or editing changes are required. Once we feel comfortable with the content as a whole we will continue to drill down to a more granular level of copyediting where I will create/update a stylesheet. Finally, we'll proofread for a final pass or two depending on rewrites and manuscript condition and finalize.
