I'm a professional writer, editor, and proofreader who loves to work with the English language and help others to perfect their manuscript. I have worked extensively with book publishers, providing copy-editing and proofreading services on a wide variety of books, from self-help to spiritual to memoirs and novels. I began working with book publishers in 2002, and have never looked back. I am an author myself, which helps me to relate to the authors I work with. And, as a proud grammar nerd, I bring an eye for the nuts and bolts of the trade.
Through the years, I've worked with publishers such as David C Cook (Christian nonfiction with some romantic fiction), BenBella (self-help, business and management, health and well-being, memoirs, relationships, and more), HarperCollins Leadership (self-improvement and business), and Oceanview (crime, suspense, and thriller fiction). I've proofread and copy-edited literally hundreds of books, with diverse styles and subject matters.
I think, in any collaboration, communication is key. Determining what the author is looking for up front and agreeing on what to focus on before work on the project begins are of paramount importance. As an author, I know what it's like to create something from the ether, as it were, and I look forward to working with you to make your manuscript as crisp, polished, and error-free as it can possibly be.
