ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Taryn! My publishing exposure started reading queries, and they're still my favorite thing to edit. There's something magical about finding the heart of your manuscript.

I love working 1:1 with authors, which is why I've always made time for freelance editing. I started at 18, providing "teen novel critiques from the POV of a teen" while I was an agency intern. Over the years, I have worked with hundreds of authors, many of whom signed book deals with major houses.

I specialize in big picture editorial. I love plot, story structure, high-concept premises, and character arcs. I believe no idea is ever too weird or too big or too unsaleable. At the end of our time working together, my goal is for you to have more than a stronger manuscript. My goal is that you will also have the tools to write a stronger book next time.
