Tanner Harvey

Tanner Harvey – Designer

Illustrator, painter, and certified goofball specializing in expressive characters and vibrant worlds. Picture books, comics, and more.

Overview

Hey there! I'm Tanner, a life long artist specializing in traditional and digital illustration with my degree in graphic design. I've an affinity for comics, children's picture books, and bold, oftentimes maximalist art.

For several years I ran a small yet well-received independent web comic and was published through Kickstarter as part of an anthology in 2023. I have a decade worth of experience working in classroom settings with special education students, which has kept my love and appreciation for picture books ongoing.

Though versatile with style, I'll typically bounce between fantastical, goofy, creepy, and outlandish. I'm a fan of all things fantasy, comedy, sci-fi, horror, and historical fiction, but am always eager to venture out of my comfort zone into unfamiliar waters.

I believe that acceptance, diversity, and inclusivity are just as important for successful story telling as they are for developing minds. A great book can be enjoyed by anyone, and I strive for nothing less than this level of universal appeal and timelessness with my visual storytelling.

As a collaborator, I am professional, personable, diligent, and receptive. I want to bring your vision to life as best as possible for an end result we'll both be proud of. I hope to create something timeless with you soon!
