Overview
I have been a non-fiction ghostwriter for over a decade, authoring twenty titles that include both prize-winners and a number of international bestsellers.
My ghostwriting career grew out of my editing and writing backgrounds (I was a former commissioning editor at a Big Five publisher and author in my right). The majority of ghosted titles I have worked on have been memoirs and autobiographies. For these, I work through interviews, ideally face to face, with an average of around 40-50 hours of interviews for a full manuscript. Other non-fiction areas I have ghosted include business titles, TV tie-ins, humour and reference works. I have also ghosted shorter works, including articles, speeches and sleeve notes for various record companies, including the Ministry of Sound.
The majority of the book titles I have ghostwritten involve signing non-disclosure agreements, so can only reference some of the titles in my portfolio here, where I have been publicly credited. But former clients include sporting world champions, politicians, TV presenters, business leaders, rock stars, soldiers, miscarriage of justice victims, Premier League footballers and reality TV celebrities. Leading publishers I have ghosted for include Picador, Little, Brown, Faber, Simon and Schuster, Ebury, Penguin, Virgin, Hachette, Harper Collins, Constable, WH Allen and Eden. I have also worked with a number of clients who have gone on to self-publish their books and am happy to discuss such projects as well.
If you have a ghostwriting project you think I might be suitable for, I would love to hear from you.
