Suzy McGill

Suzy McGill – Editor

Qualified proofreader/copy-editor. Previously worked with Taylor and Francis, Routledge, Cambridge/Oxford University Press, Bloomsbury.

Overview

I have qualifications in both Proofreading and Copy-editing from The Publishing Training Centre in the UK and
I have proofread/copy-edited many academic titles. More recently, I have become increasingly interested in performing the above tasks on works of fiction.
I have worked with many publishing houses, including Bloomsbury, Taylor & Francis, Routledge, Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press.
I am intelligent, hard-working, reliable, accurate, insightful, creative, I manage my time efficiently and I will always provide honest, positive, constructive feedback.
Having also been employed as a Project Manager in the publishing industry, I have worked with many different authors with differing styles/ways of working, therefore I believe I am versatile and adaptable.
On a more personal note, I am very friendly, approachable and I have a real sense of adventure! I have an international outlook, having lived and worked in Shanghai, Sydney and Luxembourg, I love animals (especially my pet cat, Smokey, who always sits next to me in my office as I'm working!) and I thrive on new challenges.
I believe I can assist you in making your literary work outstanding, so let's work together - the sky is the limit!
