Overview
I have a keen eye for detail and am meticulous and rigorous in my approach to editing a manuscript, making sure timelines are accurate, characters are believable and the plotting has no holes, but I also make sure I treat the text sensitively and always endeavour to let the author's voice shine through whether I am doing a structural edit, a close line edit or a final proofread.

I have spent the past eleven years working as a freelance editor, specialising in children's fiction. As well as managing the editorial team, new titles I commissioned include Frost Hollow Hall by Emma Carroll, the Atticus Claw series by Jennifer Grey, and Alex, the Dog and the Unopenable Door by Ross Montgomery (Branford Boase shortlisted).

I worked on non-fiction titles, including the award-winning Horrible Science series, Horrible Geography series, Horribly Famous series and My Story series.
