Susannah Worth

Susannah Worth – Editor

Skilled and creative editor with 15+ years' experience in non-fiction publishing, specialising in the arts and creative industries

Overview

As an editor for over 15 years, I've worked with major arts and cultural organisations, as well as independent writers and artists. I also love working on transformational non-fiction, memoir, self-help and personal development, and other non-fiction subjects.

I'm currently only taking on copy-editing and proofreading projects because I'm focusing more on my own writing... but if you have a development editing job that's very aligned with my areas of interest, you might be able to tempt me to take it on!

I bring a creative, intelligent and sensitive approach to my editing, combining my education in art history and critical writing with my own experience as a published author.

· Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (UK)

· Fast, precise, efficient, reliable, flexible and attentive

· Always take care to explain my edits and update you at every stage

· Highly skilled at refining a text without changing the author’s tone of voice or imposing my own

· Extensive experience with illustrated books and exhibition catalogues

· Specialise in finessing translations and texts written in the author’s second language

· Can advise on picture research, copyright, indexing, inclusive language and more

If you choose to work with me, you'll be in good company! I had a wonderful time working with Susannah. She was able to edit my work in such away that it still sounded like me. As I am a first time author I am truly grateful to have had such a professional experience. I can only recommend Susannah further and in the future would like to collaborate with her again.
