Overview

Hello, and thanks for stopping by!

I have more than 20 years' experience in content development and creation, editorial project management, writing, and consulting in book/magazine publishing, licensed publishing, and niche-trade media.

From simple proofreading, copyediting, and ghostwriting to developmental editing and book packaging, I specialize in illustrated nonfiction books and magazines and have worked across a number of diverse categories, including art/craft/DIY, alternative/holistic health, mind/body/spirit, architecture/design/decor, and travel/lifestyle.

By day, I am a full-time book publisher and oversee the editorial and creative production of approximately 50 titles a year. I am the author of Quiet Los Angeles (Frances Lincoln) and have made writing, research, and editorial contributions to countless other books, including The Daily Book of Art (WFP), Vintage Vavoom (Potter Style), and Doodling with Jim Henson (WFP).

A prolific freelance magazine writer with hundreds of credits to my name, I have produced a number of newsstand special interest publications (SIPs) in various categories. Additionally, I am an experienced tech writer and have scribed everything from press kits, press releases, and newsletters to fully researched book proposals.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, creative writing, yoga, hiking, kayaking, traveling, and spending time canoodling with my dogs and cat.

Whether you are seeking a consultant for editorial guidance or need an experienced publishing professional for more hands-on projects, I look forward to speaking with you about how I can help with your writing and editorial needs.
