Hi, I’m Stefanie a freelance children’s book illustrator with a love for bold, whimsical, and texture-rich artwork. With a strong foundation in storybook illustration and additional experience in coloring books and art team coordination, I’ve had the joy of collaborating with publishers, authors, and fellow artists to create playful, memorable visuals that spark curiosity and joy.

My illustration process begins with brainstorming and rough sketches to explore ideas and composition. From there, I refine details with a focus on character expression, atmosphere, and storytelling elements. Once storyboard sketches are approved by the author (that’s you!), I move into color and final polish, always balancing creativity with clarity and warmth.

Communication is at the heart of my work. I keep authors updated every step of the way, ensuring the process feels collaborative and your story shines even brighter than you imagined. When the illustrations are complete, I also handle text placement and prepare print-ready files. I have experience with self-publishing platforms like Amazon KDP and IngramSpark, as well as with publishers across the US.

Most of all, I would love the chance to bring your story to life. Creating illustrations that inspire children to dream, imagine, and follow their creativity wherever it may lead.
