Over 35 years of publishing experience. I specialize in back-of-book indexing for both trade books and college-level textbooks. I am most experienced in the humanities but have done many science texts, particularly in the areas of archeology, biology, and zoology. I have covered the gamut in trade books: health and wellness, self-help, pop psych, literary biographies, and more.
I started my career as a production editor with Goodyear Publishing, a subsidiary of Prentice Hall. After several years I began my freelance business. Since then, I've worked for publishers across the country, including Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, West Publishing, Roaring Forties Press, U.S. Institute for Peace, Health Communications, Garland Publishing, McGraw-Hill Higher Education, Wadsworth Publishing, and many others.
Related experience includes 15 years as a licensed Realtor. I've also been trained in mediation and worked with the local court system and private parties to help them come to agreement about shared problems.
