Overview
Since graduating with a PhD in US history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015, I have been editing manuscripts and creating indexes for a variety of books, journals, and authors, including academics in history, politics, and religion. I consider myself a "book whisperer" with the unique ability to understand the manuscript, develop it with the author, and organize a user-friendly index for readers.
As a scholar at your service, with great attention to detail, I will help you craft a better draft and a polished product for publication.
I offer the technical skills of an editor and indexer, but also a scholar's understanding of academic concepts and writing. I specialize in history, politics, and religion, but I've also edited and indexed books in the social sciences, gender studies, race studies, and spirituality. I help with works in progress as well as page proofs ready for publication. With an extensive writing portfolio, I understand the process of writing fiction and nonfiction.
I can also create a user-friendly index for your book, which includes reading your manuscript and notes for content and concepts, inputting and organizing entries, and editing the index according to press specifications.
I live in Wisconsin, enduring cold winters, but I love to travel, read, and watch movies to expand my horizons.
