I'm a former literature professor who switched to full-time indexing over fifteen years ago. I specialize in writing back-of-book and embedded indexes for most humanities-related fields. Some of my recent projects have covered topics such as philosophy, theology, education, political science, and history.
My current indexing rate is US $10 per indexable page, based on a final PDF proof of your manuscript. Sections like the table of contents and bibliography would be excluded from the page count. If you need help calculating the number of pages to be indexed, I would be happy to help.
