My name is Sonja, a passionate book illustrator, art director, and game designer - originally from Serbia, now embracing the beauty of Canada.
I've had the pleasure of creating many beautiful books for children and young adults, and I'm eager to embark on new and exciting projects. I truly enjoy sketching and delving into the narrative, and once everything aligns perfectly—when both the client and I are delighted—I take pleasure in bringing it to life, whether that's in vibrant colours or a more subdued palette, always with a touch of sparkle.
Through my diverse experiences, I've learned the value of listening, adapting, and maintaining a clear vision throughout every project. Consistency and the overall aesthetic are essential to me. Adding intricate details to bring a project together brings me joy, as it contributes to the cohesion and completeness of the final product.

As a children's book illustrator, I create immersive illustrations that bring your stories to life. I enjoy organizing layouts and designing the book from start to finish. My focus is on making sure the illustrations and overall look of the book are perfect. I love collaborating with creative minds to achieve the ideal layout and prepare it for printing.
Demagog Studio
As part of a small yet skilled team of game designers, I contributed to every visual aspect of game creation. My responsibilities included drawing concepts and bringing them to life, crafting everything from initial ideas to the final in-game assets, Additionally, I had the opportunity to seamlessly integrate these components into Unity, thereby enhancing the overall immersive experience of the game world.
To Blink Animation
I serve as the Art Director, Character Designer, and Environment Designer for the short animation "I am Akiko," set to be released in 2024. In this role, I am responsible for the overall visual style and feel of the animation. This included creating characters and environments, as well as overseeing the 3D modeling and animation processes. I ensured that every aspect of the film, from start to finish, captured the desired atmosphere and essence.
