Overview
A Sardinian by birth I have lived in Milan during my University years and moved to Scotland (Glasgow then Edinburgh) in 2004.
My love for translation started when I found myself working as interpreter for an Italian theatre director running a workshop in Glasgow; I was still an undergrad student (Modern Languages) at the time, but I found that being able to help connecting two different cultures was what I wanted to specialise in.
Since then I have worked as translator and interpreter and besides having translated some books, I have worked as video games localisation tester, and I have experience in events management.
I love reading, I spend as much time as I can reading, and when I read in a language other than Italian, i can't help thinking of how I would translate a specific passage, or a sentence, or a joke! I enjoy working with authors (where possible) and in my experience I found that collaborative translations (where access to the author or to texts he referred to is a possibility) are extremely beneficial for both the author and the translator.
Besides English and Italian I work with Spanish and Sardinian, and I am studying Portuguese to reach a working language level.
