Hey party people,

Quit stressin'. Let's make things easy by letting me wear the thinking hat while you continue to be creative!

My name is Shazeen and I'm an experienced editor with bestsellers under my belt. I love helping authors make their ideas come to life. Through editing, I also hope to help my authors become better writers by helping them understand what makes a great story. I fully evaluate the story without my own biases. Having said this, I do specialize in nonfiction, and I've worked with a variety of authors, from new authors to seasoned authors who continuously aspire to become bestsellers.

Have you finished writing your first draft and are revising and changing bits and pieces as you go along? You might be also getting more confused about whether your book is heading in the right direction. Hold on, I gotcha!

If you need help structuring the ideas of your book, I can help you identify the main events and points in your writing and create a logical order between them. It is my goal to make language easy to understand and engaging for your readers.

Our collaboration begins with a personal discussion of the book, followed by editorial suggestions regarding the goals, underlying premise, voice, and style. To ensure consistency in overall structure, improve flow and transitions, and identify gaps, I rewrite and restructure paragraphs and sentences.

Here's what you'll get if you choose me as your editor:

1) Edits that are clear and understandable. I mainly use Microsoft Word with Tracked Changes.
2) Solutions that are specific. I don't just tell you what needs to be improved, but show you with specific examples what those improvements would look like.
3) Creative input. I enter your universe and generate new ideas wherever they are needed.
4) Writing styles. I can suggest new ways of expressing narratives, dialogues, and ideas.
5) Market insights. I know what the market wants and when it wants it. It gives me a good sense of what agents and publishers are thinking, and how to satisfy your target audiences.
6) Proper sentence structures and phrasing.
7) A manuscript consisting of content and structure that is logically arranged, complete, and contains references if necessary.
8) A manuscript written in language appropriate for the target audience.
9) Consistent formatting and removing formatting issues.

That's enough of me; let's talk about you. Get in touch with me if you're ready to tackle your next big project, and we'll have a chinwag about your editorial needs.

Hasta más tarde :)
