Editing a book is a collaborative effort, and I work sensitively with writers to help make their manuscripts the best they can be. I know how hard it is to write a book because I've had one published, and I believe every author deserves conscientious, skillful editing that respects their voice and style.

As a freelancer for Toronto-based Guernica Editions, I line edit and copy edit fiction manuscripts ranging from debut novels by novice writers to books by authors with decades of experience and dozens of publications. I have a sharp eye for detail and high proficiency in scrutinizing language, grammar, and consistency of plot and character.
