Overview

I am an illustrator and graphic designer specializing in editorial, packaging, and children's illustration. Recently, I have completed artwork for a chapter book, Chicken Feathers, to be released by Clear Fork Publishing in early 2020. My most recent picture book, Short Pump Bump, was published December 15, 2017 by Belle Isle Books. I have also had the pleasure of illustrating the cover art along with handling the packaging design for a series of audiobooks narrated by awarding-winning storyteller Jim Weiss. Titles include Just So Stories, Tales From Cultures Far and Near, Pharaohs and Queens of Ancient Egypt, and George Washington, First in the Hearts of His Countrymen.

I have a great love for bringing a joyful, childlike energy to my work and take great delight in bringing an author's characters to life in pleasantly unexpected ways.

Clients include Well-Trained Mind Press, Belle Isle Books, Clear Fork Publishing, Pennsylvania Department of Education, Mike's HARDER, The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, CFA Institute, Utah Adventure Journal, and FORE Magazine.

“I am so fortunate to have found Scott online; though we’ve never met in person, we collaborate virtually with great success. He makes every illustration special, and he frequently exceeds expectations as he envisions something more interesting, humorous or beautiful than what had been ordered. Given his talent, professionalism, and versatility, I recommend him enthusiastically.”

It took quite a long time to get it finished. It was put off and put off many many times as Scott had other irons in the fire. Upon completion, I noticed his wording error. I asked Scott to please fix it and he said that he would but it would again take several weeks. So, I still do not have the finished and complete project. And it is going on or getting close to 2 years. This project should ...
