Overview
I wrote in-house at publishers on Disney, Hello Kitty and Schoolies, and have a large portfolio of books for ages 0-7 spanning storybooks, activity books and novelty titles. I recently developed my own IP with a friend as part of Happy Cloud Creative and love creating and developing style guides and books with a character brand focus.
I'm a highly visual editor and if there was one skill I wish I could add to my skill set it would be illustration. Luckily for me I have worked with some amazing illustrators and designers instead, and often get to see my ideas come alive through their amazing talents.

Work experience
Happy Editorial
A year's relocation from London to San Francisco has presented me with the opportunity to turn freelance. Take a look at the Happy Editorial website to find out more. I specialise in preschool titles and licensed books.
Priddy Books, Macmillan Publishing
I worked with the design team to create the content for the Priddy front list, producing a range of novelty, picture book and educational titles for UK and US markets, including e-books and apps. I was involved in all stages of the publishing process and contributed to new ideas and content development.
Parragon Books
As part of the Licensed team at Parragon I worked on a variety of brands in the Disney portfolio from Pixar to Princess, Disney Baby to Hannah Montana, to new feature films such as Toy Story 3 and Tron: Legacy. I project managed on a range of formats and often dealt with a challenging but exciting workload and a complex approval process across continents.
The Natural History Museum, London
At the museum, I worked on book projects varying in format and audience, which included family reference books, specialist reference and museum publications, all highly illustrated with the aim of inspiring people’s commitment to the natural world.
John Wiley & Sons
In the role of Publishing Assistant on Wiley’s Engineering Technology list, I was involved in the front end of the publishing process working for a commissioning editor maintaining the workflow of the program.
