I offer editorial support for nonfiction manuscripts, with particular strength in intellectually demanding work, including literary criticism, complex, research-oriented writing, and medical or psychology-related texts. My approach combines close attention to language and structure with a strong sense of narrative, clarity, and developmental detail. As a writer and editor, I understand the importance of preserving an author’s unique voice and work, protecting and enhancing them throughout the editorial process.

I am especially well-suited to manuscripts that are rich in insight but need sharper structure, greater clarity, stronger consistency, and a more readable shape for their intended audience. I work particularly well with authors who handle complex ideas, specialist knowledge, or research-based material and want their writing to remain rigorous while becoming more fluent, engaging, and accessible.

I offer developmental editing, copyediting, indexing, and proofreading for nonfiction manuscripts at various stages of development. My work focuses on the text itself: structure, clarity, consistency, style, and accuracy, resulting in a clean, well-prepared Word manuscript ready for revision or handover to production.

Formatting for Amazon KDP, including Kindle, EPUB, or print-ready PDF layouts, is a separate production service and is not included in my editorial work. I’m happy to refer clients to specialist designers and formatters for this stage of the publishing process.
