With a background in Middle East studies, I am an experienced editor with over 15 years' experience. I've edited and proofread for private clients, academics, and publishers, as well as in-house.

I have worked on titles for Edinburgh University Press, Yale, Syracuse University Press, and Hurst, as well as for academic clients.

I can help you polish your manuscript for submission to a publisher, copyedit a book or an article to house style, or proofread a final version before press. I can help edit prose to flow more naturally, and sort out issues in texts by authors for whom English is not a first language. With my background in Middle East studies I am comfortable working with transliteration and I enjoy working on texts in this area and can engage with the content in my editing.
