Rob Staeger

Rob Staeger – Ghostwriter

Writer and editor with 30 years of experience in a variety of environments and styles. Specializing in nonfiction for young readers.

Overview

The best writing is clear and purposeful. In nonfiction, that means informing the reader as clearly as possible, building an argument and supporting it with facts. Fiction, on the other hand, is meant to entertain, with every element in the service of that effect…whether it be humor, suspense, horror, or romance.

As a ghostwriter, I’m here to help you make your project a reality in a way that will satisfy, entertain, and inform your audience.. I’ve spent much of my 25 years in publishing interviewing businesspeople, artists, and entertainers, helping them publicize their work and get their message out. While I’ve got a lot of interests—history, music, comics, film, tabletop gaming—I’m comfortable writing about a wide range of non-fiction topics. Writing about new things is part of how I learn.

In nonfiction, I’ve written for newspapers such as The Village Voice, trade magazines, instructional video scripts for a blockchain think tank, and nonfiction history books for young readers. I’ve also written children’s fiction, including short stories fashioned as pen-pal letters to kids of varying ages (everything from pet adventures to tween mysteries), as well as flash fiction for adult readers for Ahoy Comics.

Let’s talk about what you want for your project, and I’ll tell you what I can do to make it come alive.
