I use my writing, editing, and proofreading skills to help multiple clients meet their publishing and content development goals.
Overview
I'm an experienced writer and editor, with particular experience in developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading nonfiction K-12 science lessons and books, fiction and nonfiction books for children, and nonfiction college-level books in economics, international relations, and history. Some of my projects include editing manuscripts for Sourcebooks and Apex CoVantage, editing the Big Brain Book for the American Psychological Association, and editing a teacher's guide for the Smithsonian Science Education Center. In addition, I worked for over 20 years on an award-winning science education website, so I have experience writing and editing content for websites. The authors I've worked with know me to be thorough, clear, and professional. I also provide positive feedback along with a more critical assessment of the overall quality of a piece. I have a good eye for determining if a written piece makes sense for the intended audience and helping an author structure their work so that it is not only organized but also compelling.
