Collaborate and support our editorial department, including publication of
Make-Up Artist magazine, read in 70 countries and recognized by the
Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences as the leading authority in film,
TV and theater make-up. Write and edit e-newsletters, email campaigns,
promotional materials and brand collateral across all social media channels.
Interview subjects, research and write news, feature and department articles
for our print and Online editions. Work with photographers, writers and
Oscar- and Emmy-winning artists. Administer and coordinate the editorial
process for Make-Up Artist magazine, including working with the managing
editor and outside contributors. Help oversee editorial calendar, as well as
ensure all content in print and web platforms meet KPG's highest standards.
Plan marketing strategies and social media content to help drive our quarter
million followers and industry professionals to our publications and the
International Make-Up Artist Trade Show (IMATS) which is held in London,
Toronto, Sydney, Vancouver B.C., Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta.
Work with the art department on all aspects of production, including
selection of graphics, cover art, videos and overall design of articles—to
ensure our storytelling is inclusive, diverse, truthful and creative.
Supervise and assign articles to freelance writers while managing contracts,
budgets for our Artistry Unlocked program and directing student artists
around the world. Responsible for maintaining and growing those
relationships, and overseeing deadlines and the rewriting + feedback process.
Team with sales department to help target new advertisers. Film and edit
sizzle reels for all collateral outreach.
