Overview
For the past three years I've worked at DK Travel (part of Penguin Random House). During this time I've gained experience copy-editing both print and digital travel content. In my role as a print editor, I update a list of DK Travel's award-winning guide books, while in my position as online editor I edited articles, social media posts and newsletter marketing copy. In both roles I have worked closely with a variety of different authors to produce clean and engaging copy that captures the attention of readers.
When copy-writing I always ensure accuracy in grammar, spelling and punctuation, as well as checking for consistency in both the tone of voice and in the formatting. I also check that the text is accurate, and can cut and rewrite text, if asked to do so.
