Rachel Ford – Editor

Award winning publisher, author and educator with 20 years experience in ghost writing, resource writing and curriculum development.

Overview

I'm an award winning publisher, short story writer and educator. With over 20 years experience in global and small scale publishing houses, and a focus on educational publishing, I can assist you with most stages of your project development from commissioning, project scope, author management, project management, development editing, resource writing, ghost writing and marketing copy.

SME's missing the mark when it comes to educational objectives? Are your authors having trouble translating their day-to-day into meaningful language for a student? Do you need teacher resource material developed but your editors have run our of steam and you are running out of time? Do you have a completed manuscript but need a fresh set of eyes to complete a development edit? Unsure how to work your marketing and back cover copy? Or do you have an idea for an educational resource but you need someone to help you scope and plan the work? These are just some of the challenges I can help you overcome.

My approach to all projects is to begin by discussing the key objectives with the client. If your content requirements are aligned to a particular curriculum or syllabus, I also like to discuss the pedagogical and other specific requirements so that I can make sure your product will be of value to the end user. With first time clients I like to send a sample of the work, so that we can both discuss any feedback and make sure that the work I am doing is aligning to your goals.

Rachel is great at what she does and I’m thinking of getting another one of books edited and published by her.
