Overview
I'm copyeditor and proofreader specialising in art, craft and design non-fiction books. I also specialise in pattern writing and layout, whether that be for knitting and crochet, cross-stitching or weaving.
I'm a passionate knitter and crocheter, which feeds into the technical side of my work. I also design knitwear, and so have experience of being edited, which I feel is very valuable when it comes to giving sensitive, clear and constructive feedback.
I particularly enjoy working with authors whose first language is not English. I speak French and Malay, and have worked for several years very closely with an English to French translator. Authors I've worked with include Portugese, Arabic, Dutch, French, Swedish, and Greek speakers.
I also really enjoy academic editing, and have a particular love of whipping references and bibliographies into shape.
I look forward to working with you soon!
