Patrick Atkins

Patrick Atkins – Designer

A freelance Illustrator/Graphic Designer with over 8 years of experience creating book covers, album sleeves and artworks for exhibition.

Overview

I'm a Bristol based Illustrator, and after graduating with a First Class degree in Illustration from Falmouth University in 2013, I've spent the following decade creating artworks for a variety of clients and genres, including but not limited to: book covers, album sleeves, posters and advertisement campaigns, editorials and artwork for film. What all my work has in common is a focus on tactility, texture and mood; I use a combination of pencils, rolling inks and digital composition to create rich, detailed works with a human touch.

My favourite commissions are those where I can work with directly an author or musician to respond to or depict something they've created. Often this involves scenery, but I'm by no means limited to landscape works and seek all genres that suit a contemplative and emotive artwork to draw a viewer in.

I interviewed 7 artists for my project and decided to go with Patrick. His proposal was the best offering in-depth understanding of my project as well as far reaching production of materials. His portfolio was also amazing. Working with him was very smooth as he was clear in his communication and responded timely again and again. He is unbelievably intuitive which allowed the work to be exa...

What can be said that 5 stars cannot? He’s a madman on the graphics. Superb quality, timely responses, easy to communicate with… Patrick will be an excellent choice for your project. We had one quick discussion and not even a week later, he exactly what I was looking for. On top of that, he had even better original concepts. Bottom line, you can’t go wrong with Patrick.
