Pam Nordberg

Pam Nordberg – Editor

I have 14+ years experience in Bible, biblical, and Christian books, as well as cookbooks, memoirs, health/self-help, and women's fiction.

Overview

I have been a freelance copy editor and proofreader since 2010, and I love my job! Since 2010, I have completed over 500 proofreading and/or copy editing projects. I understand how an author puts their heart and soul into their writing, and I want to assist you by getting your message out with clear, well-formed sentences.

My favorite genres are memoir, health/self-help, Christian and Bible-based books, cookbooks, and women's fiction.

Some favorite recent projects in the Christian genre are Phil Robertson's I Could Be Wrong, but I Doubt It and Sarah Jakes Roberts's Power Moves. I love to learn spiritual truths while working on a book! I am very familiar with the Bible and am well-suited for projects involving verses or biblical concepts.

Wonders All Around by Bruce McCandless III was a unique memoir. McCandless wrote of life with his father, who is the astronaut featured in the iconic photo floating untethered above our beautiful planet. I also enjoyed the true story from Heddy Frosell da Ponte, The Frosell Affair, whose father was robbed of billions by French bureaucrats during WWII. This book was memoir/historical fiction/women's fiction.

Friends with Boats is another women's fiction book I enjoyed, where the unique Cape Code setting was as delightful as the prose.

In the health/self-help field, Lee Albert's Live Pain-Free is well-reviewed on Amazon. And Nancy Sokol Green's Connection Mode was a fascinating look into the brain and behavior.

Cookbooks are a fun challenge to me, and Anne Byrn's Baking in the American South was a beautiful one to proofread.

Deadlines are important to me, and I’ve never missed one.

Working with Pam was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly professional, detailed oriented, creative, exceptional with communicating and responding quickly, and by far exceeded my expectations in every possible way. I had previously hired an editor from a reputable literary agency before discovering Reedsy, spending twice the amount of money; and receiving only a third to half the amount of...

Pam did an amazing job! I’ve already recommended her to my personal friends that are looking for an editor. I’m new to writing so when it came time for editing I knew I needed a good editor. Her credentials are great and accurate too. I wrote a Christian book and wanted someone familiar with Christianity to edit for me. I sure am glad I picked her. She was knowledgeable and thoughtful. I had a ...
