Overview
Previously, I was an Associate Editor for the Books department at America's Test Kitchen. Previously, I edited magazines and digital content as an Editor for ATK's Special Interest Publications department. I received a certificate in publishing upon graduating from the Columbia Publishing Course in 2015. Prior to taking the course, I was an Agency Assistant at Zachary Shuster Harmsworth Literary and Entertainment Agency (now Aevitas Creative Management), where I assessed submissions in fiction and nonfiction and assisted authors in creating book proposals.
My poetry and fiction have been published in Mouse Tales Press, Meat for Tea: The Valley Review, Streetlight Magazine, Canon, Pequod, Redheaded Stepchild, and Dreamers Creative Writing. I was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in spring 2016 for my poem "Speaking Of You Here," published by Mouse Tales Press.

Work experience
Write My Wrongs, LLC
As an Editor for Write My Wrongs, LLC, I am responsible for turning around detailed sample edits, editorial notes, and letters of assessment to potential clients within twenty four hours of receiving their submissions. I work closely with authors to better their manuscripts on both macro- and microlevels, helping shape their narratives and organize the structure of their books while also line editing for flow, clarity, consistency, and grammatical perfection.
America's Test Kitchen
In my nearly four years as an editor at America’s Test Kitchen, I fine-tuned my editing and writing skills in all areas, beginning as an Editorial Assistant in Special Interest Publications, growing into the role of Assistant Editor, and subsequently transferring to the Books department as an Associate Editor. I have a strong grasp of The Chicago Manual of Style and the AP Style book, as well as of the company’s house style—a knowledge that has strengthened my understanding of the gravity of a brand’s voice. I am sensitive and responsive to tight, often-changing deadlines, an efficiency that granted me the time and space to seek out and take on projects far beyond my job descriptions. I contributed to my departments’ development, growth, and outreach. I also maintained the editorial schedules for the homepages of two of the company’s websites, both planning out content in sync with the company’s themed weeks, newsletters, and forthcoming publications, as well as manually programming the sites.

Zachary Shuster Harmsworth Literary and Entertainment Agency
As an agency assistant at Zachary Shuster Harmsworth Literary and Entertainment Agency (now Aevitas Creative Management), I performed the multifaceted duties of editorial assistant, foreign-rights assistant, intern liaison, and office manager. I gained significant practice in communicating with clients, managing royalty accounts and contracts, orchestrating weekly company-wide meetings, evaluating manuscripts, and contributing to the creation of book proposals. My exposure to the life cycle of a book from conception to publication made me eager to work more deeply with clients, to conduct the necessary research to help us best market our clients, to problem solve creatively, and to contribute my growing editorial prowess whenever possible.
