Overview

-- Thank you for taking a look at my profile! Authors: please kindly note that I am currently booked up until early October 2025, and am therefore taking bookings from then onwards. --

With extensive experience creating, editing and publishing content across a diverse range of sectors, I specialise in elevating your writing.

As both an editor and writer, I value the importance of preserving your unique voice while enhancing the quality of your work. My role is to refine your writing without overshadowing your distinctive style.

Maintaining the integrity of your writing's tone is my foremost priority during the editing process. Through collaboration, I ensure your words resonate powerfully by offering tailored advice and support. Whether you need an editor to assist you with spelling, punctuation and grammar to ensure your narrative is engaging, or you require a professional critique of your story's arc, I can help.

My portfolio spans short and long fiction and non-fiction texts from previous and ongoing work. My passions lie in engaging diverse readerships through meaningful narratives. With a well-informed approach to tackling important and sensitive topics, I enjoy thought-provoking themes and writing which isn't afraid to challenge the status quo.

I provide various services, including developmental editing, copy (/line) editing and proofreading. Each service is meticulously tailored to your specific needs—from thorough grammar reviews with suggested textual enhancements or developmental insights addressing structure, character depth and tone, I am committed to enriching your writing.

I hope we can work together.

Work experience

Igloo Books Ltd. (Bonnier Books)

Apr, 2023 — Present

I am responsible for editing and project managing the editorial process for upcoming titles. I work with authors and artists to create visually stunning, engaging and on-trend content in addition to handling the editorial, itself. This involves utilising a strong comprehension of the English language to refine word choice, tone, clarity, message and the overall impact of writing to benefit a chosen market. In this regard, I work to complete edits in both British and American English where required.

Self-employed

Jan, 2025 — Present

With extensive editorial knowledge, I decided to create my own company. As a writer, I understand what it is like to fuel your creative projects with passion and then feel the wary shift when transitioning to the editorial process of a story, and this has provided me with valuable insights that I bring to my editorial approach. I work with writers to evaluate and improve their stories and am incredibly passionate about ensuring this process remains as fun and stress-free as possible. I help not only to refine manuscripts but also to aid the growth of authors' written craft, fuelling their skill set for any future projects they may undertake. Services include developmental editing, copy/line editing and proofreading.

QA Ltd.

Feb, 2022 — Mar, 2023 (about 1 year)

Through proofreading and copy editing the content for big-name clients, my role was to perfect the content and ensure the quality of all material was flawless while maintaining order in the publishing process and content. With a key focus on message and clarity, our team of editors ensured that all content met our clients' high standards and, therefore, grew familiar with working with multiple editorial style guides for the benefit of this.

D365

Jan, 2021 — Feb, 2022 (about 1 year)

I was responsible for creating the content for the website, including blogs and creative enhancements, while maintaining various social media platforms. Additionally, I was solely responsible for ensuring the quality of our client's internal documentation and led the editorial process for our client's educational material, which was published privately. This included editorial improvements to the written word to cover clarity, conciseness, tone, flow and more.
