Overview
I am not currently taking new projects.
I have spent the last decade as a Children’s and YA editor, working with authors and illustrators to create books that will help kids and teens fall in love with reading, see themselves in great stories, and find windows to new experiences and points of view. I also have a passion for strategy and positioning, and have spoken extensively at SCBWI conferences about publishing market topics. I have been to countless editorial and acquisitions meetings and can help you determine if you are on the right track — or how you can get there.
My sweet spots in middle grade and YA are realistic fiction and magical realism (I am not the best match for high fantasy); I also enjoy any kind of picture book. I’m open a wide range of topics, but I may have positioning notes for you!
I am also a voracious reader of general fiction, essays, domestic thrillers, and contemporary romance and happy to review anything in those genres. I may also be open to ghostwriting.
I'm also open to query editing (with quick turnaround if needed).
